    Backwards Compatibility


    Okay,so I'm selling my xbox 360 for a xbox one and I don't know how to sell a xbox.(do I have to erase all the games and profiles on it?)if I do will those games still show up on my backwards compatibility.(Hope you guys can answer both).

    Because of backward compatibility you will be able to join parties, join games but only the xbox 360 game you have started up.

    Hey mate,

    I sure can answer both! Backwards Compatibility :)

    Personally, before I sold it, i'd do a factory reset on the console. It will reset everything back to square one, and remove any of your details from the console.

    Next question, so long as you have signed into Xbox Live, all of your games list and everything like that will be recorded on your profile, and if those games are available for backwards compatability, you will then be able to access them on your Xbox One.
    The key is making your you've connected to live, as that is what records all of those details Backwards Compatibility :)

    @Sky Knight, mate they are adding more all the time! For example every 360 game that comes out with the Game's with Gold from this month on will be backwards compatible. Also don't forget that the dev needs to request for the game to be made backwards compatible,
    its not up to MS

    While it is true that backwards compat is on hold. Every backwards compat licensing has to approved by the developer for that game to approve the ability of backwards compatibility. There are some developers unfortunately that will not allow there games
    to be backwards compatible .

    If it's not backward compatible then it's not backward compatible and never will be as they stopped updating the emulator years ago. The only Robotech game that is backward compatible is Battlecry.
