Backwards compatibility

Can anyone help. I cannot get any 360 game to work on my one-s. I have tried a few, all are on the BC list, but my one-s doesn't even try to play them. Just doesn't even recognise there is a disc at all........

Because of backward compatibility you will be able to join parties, join games but only the xbox 360 game you have started up.

When you insert an Xbox 360 disc, the Xbox One should start a download of the game. Check your My Games and Apps section to see if the game is being downloaded.

 

It doesn't seem like anything is happening, and no active downloads show.....

 

Nope, it seriously just sits there and does nothing. It doesn't even say it's the wrong disc, nothing. Every single xbox one game reads with no issue at all, bot a 360 disc seems to just not work. Have I bought the only dodgy xbox one s?

 

Nope, nothing. It just sits there and does absolutely nothing at all. Every xbox one disc reads absolutely fine, but every single 360 disc will not read, or even attempt to read.........

 

Quick question, do you have disc autoplay disabled in your system settings? If so, try turning it back on before inserting the 360 game.

 

Have done that already. Seriously, nothing happens at all, when the disc is inserted. It's as if there is no disc at all.

 

Have tried 6 games on 2 different xbox ones and nothing works. Clearly another massive
[Mod Removed – Profanity]. fail from microsoft. This is now the end of my patience with this bollocks. Thanks Microsoft. Will be selling up, another customer gone.

 

What region are you in? What games are you trying to play from disc?

 

Region is UK, and all discs are compatible. Both xbox ones play all xbox one discs, with no issues. All the 360 games play on both 360's we have, no issues. Black ops 1 and 2, ghosts, MW3, none of them will play on any xbox one we have, but will all work
on a 360. It's just a total joke. I got it to work today, once. Then when I turned it off, it wouldn't work again, and I tried 100 or more times.

Really??? You base this on what exactly? Another [Mod Removed – Profanity].answer from a
[Mod Removed – Profanity].. This is a genuine problem, no wonder nobody bothers asking the community much when you get this useless

I understand you are having difficulties launching your game content, and I would recommend attempting some more troubleshooting steps. I do see that those games are

Backwards Compatible "Black ops 1 and 2, ghosts, MW3".

Please try a
Soft Factory Reset: Keep games and Apps.

Make sure you have access to your account Email(s) and password(s) since it will remove all accounts from the Xbox.
