Backwards Compatibility Xbox Live Connection Issues

I have been playing Black Ops 1 on the Xbox ONE for about a month now without any issues. Today for some reason all that changed. I can sign into my xbox one perfectly fine and do everything I need to on there, but when I try and play Black Ops 1 it no longer
automatically signs me into my account and when I try and sign in manually it just gets hung up and keeps trying to sign me in. I left it trying to sign in for over and hour, came back and it was still on the "signing in" screen. I have tried resetting my
internet, wired connection, wireless connection, port forwarding. Just about everything I could find on the internet with no prevail. So this is my last hope. Maybe somebody here that has had similar issues could enlighten me on how to fix my problem.

My Account won't stay connected to xbox live on backwards compatibility.

I'm having a problem with backwards compatibility. My xbox live account disconnects from xbox live when I attempt to log in on the 360 menu on backwards compatibility for Xbox one.

Games with Gold Titles Included in Backward Compatibility

When backward compatibility launches in November, all future Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles will be playable on Xbox One. That means Xbox Live Gold members now will get more free games to play each month on Xbox One.

Hey there Now Verified,

Let's go ahead and try these steps to clear the Xbox 360 cache on the console and see if that helps with this sign in problem.

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.

Note Double-tapping the Xbox button will open the guide from any other screen on the console.

Select Settings.

Select All settings.

Select System and then select Storage.

Select Clear local Xbox 360 storage.

Select Yes and restart the console. This will not affect your cloud saved games or Xbox One games and profiles.

Once your console has restarted, go ahead and launch Black Ops 1 and see if this helps out.

I'm currently having the same exact issue. I can't connect any of my backwards compatible games to Xbox Live on my Xbox One. I've restarted twice and checked my internet. Neither of these are the issues. My NAT is open and evrything else is fine. I can't
connect to Xbox Live on backwards compatible games at all!

Yeah. There are several threads with this issue. It's not just Gears 3, but a general issue with backwards compatibility I believe.

I am having the same issues. Can't wait until there is a solution.

The weird thing with me is that I actually WAS connected to Xbox Live for about an hour. I shut off my box, and signed in later only to not have it connect to XBL on the backwards compatibility.

Yes, I'm unable to connect to Xbox Live on the 360 through backwards compatibility.

I don't have xbox live or a consistent internet connection. Is there a workaround to play backwards compatibility games offline? I've read on various other forums that it shouldn't be an issue.

Hi there,

please double check if your Xbox One console is fully updated (and connected to Xbox Live) since this is a requirement to install a Backward compatible game.

When using a disc the backward compatible game will still be downloaded from Xbox Live, since that is the backward compatible version (it will require the play disc to be inserted in order to play the game)

Since you mentioned discs, please be sure to insert the correct one (when console is connected and is updated). that usually should trigger installation.
