backwards compatibility wont work

I bought a 250GB Microsoft hard drive from best buy and i cant play backwards compatible games and i tried everything the xbox support guy said to do and it wont work and i am only a kid saving my money on something else and i am not about to buy a new
hard drive.

Black ops DLC backwards compatible

I am playing black ops on my xbox one via backwards compatibility. I downloaded call of the dead zombies DLC but it wont work. on the Microsoft website it says DLC is playable via backwards compatibility

My xbox one works fine and always has done, anyway i heard about this new backwards compatibility feature so i decided to download dirt 3 which i previously owned on my xbox 360.. my user profile on my xbox one was carried over from my xbox 360, so it eventually
downloaded and i try to play it and it comes up ''the person who bought this needs to sign in'' sign in with the profile used for the purchase or buy a copy from the xbox store.

but i bought the game on my xbox360 and t was with the same profile? so why wont it work ?

Sorry about your problem. You should it return it to the store. There are many of these 'Xbox 360 hard drives' on sites such as eBay and Amazon, they pretty much all look official, with the correct looking packing, but most are fake. What likely has happened
is, someone has traded in their fake hard drive to Best Buy and they haven't checked if it's official.

Note: Even fake hard drives will still show 'Microsoft' on the settings screen on an Xbox 360. This does not mean it is an official hard drive.

 

Also i bought this hard drive like a year and a half ago.
