Backwards Compatibility: Still No Skate 3 Edition

Unfortunately there is no information on when Skate 3 will come to Xbox One backwards compatibility. However you can still vote and comment on it's page on the

"This game is not playable here" message on Skate 3 disc version?

Skate 3 is not currently playable on Xbox One back wards compatibility however it is still in the works.

Unfortunately there is no timeline as to when Skate 3 will be released for backwards compatibility. Hopefully we will see it soon

Skate 3 is still in-progress. Backwards compatibility is more than just slapping a patch on a console and expecting last generation games to work. There are permissions that need to be given (which have been as Microsoft is currently working on the title),
in-game patches, testing, and then release. It will take some time. The games coming out for backwards compatibility will not have updates or statuses on their progress. It was announced a couple of months ago that titles will hit the Xbox One as they become
available. You can always reach out to the developer if you want to try and receive more information, but no formal announcements will be made on the status of pending titles, or upcoming titles for that matter.

I get that blitz but when so many people have been waiting so long for a game thats confirmed to be released it seems like xbox would have the common sense to at least give some sort of progress report. Let us know whats going on. Let us know whats left
to do before release. Thats all we ask for

 

How do we get in touch with EA's Blackbox if Blackbox isn't around? Could you give us a direct link to contact the developer you keep telling us to ask? EA doesn't respond.

Titles such as Skate 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops were mentioned to notify gamers that Microsoft was working on making those games available on the next generation of consoles. We cannot speculate how close or not it is to being completed. Microsoft is
working to continuously add titles to the BC Program and that will take time, especially with some of the larger AAA titles. Microsoft has notified its fanbase of Xbox that titles currently in-progress will not release updates in order to keep rumors and speculation
at bay. They announced several titles at the end of November 2015 to let us know what their plans were. As mentioned several months ago, now titles will appear on the BC list when available, without any prior notice or update.

In regards to EA Black Box, their site now redirects you to Need For Speed. You will need to use the EA Support Help page and chat with an agent on their end to express your concerns. I went ahead for you all and contacted Electronic Arts and was transferred
twice until I was told by Cheryl Ana "To be honest, [redacted], we don't have information for Skate 3. The Studio that handles Skate titles is no longer available. So I really don't think there will be any updates for backwards compatibility for it."

As much as we all want certain games to become playable, we just need to have patience. Backwards Compatibility is still less than 6 months old. New titles are being added all the time, so when the titles are approved and have passed testing then they will
be released to the public!
