Backwards compatibility/save games issue

Hi

i recently changed my gamertag (this detail might be important later).

I’ve just tried playing Ms Splosion Man on my Xbox One. Ive played the game and completed all multiplayer levels before on the xbox 360. When the emulator tried to sign in, it worked fine but said it couldnt connect to xbox live. I didnt think anything of
it and started up my save game fine. My single player progress was still there and started level 3-1. Because i was offline i decided to sort it out before playing. I had to enter my email address and password again on my xbox one and “redownload” my profile
as it was still showing my old gamertag.

When i got back into the game on xbox one, the game was like i had never played before, all progress was gone.

Today i signed in on my xbox 360 to see if i needed to play the game on there to somehow reset or reupload my saved games to the cloud. When i start the game up on the 360, i have no progress in the game.

Ive checked my hard drive for save files and i Seem to have files for the game on both cloud and hard drive. The file on the cloud says “in sync”.

Ive tried another backwards compatible game, The Splatters. I had almost completed this game and i know for sure the last time i played it was on xbox one. This game has no save files anywhere and on both consoles i have to start a new game.

So what is the issue here? Ive deleted and redownloaded my profile to xbox 360. Im currently reinstalling Ms Splosion Man on the 360 to see if that makes the game recognise my save games that are 100% there in both cloud and HDD. Ive cleared my cache.

So why did my save files for Ms Splosion Man work for a couple of minutes offline in xbox one but as soon as i redownload my profile theyre gone? I have copied the saves from my HDD to the cloud to double check that but nothing is solving this?

im in the process of checking all my backwards conpatible games to see if the issue is with all of them.

EDIT: Rayman 3HD seems to be okay with the cloud saves on the xbox 360, not checked xbox one back compat yet.

EDIT 2: Rayman 3HD works with backward compatibility, as does Rockstar Table Tennis. Both of these games have saves present on the cloud and on my 360 HDD and start up fine on both consoles. I think most people are focusing too much on backwards compat not
working but not addressing the issue of save games not working on my 360 either? And the fact that the save files were there and working before i redownloaded my profile in the emulator. After this, they are no longer recognised

Here is some general information on backward compatible saves linked below. After doing some research I found that some Tom Clancy Splinter Cell Backward Compatible Games autosave or manually save just like they did on the 360. However I'm not sure if Double
Agent is one of them.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Do you mean that the file sizes for the saved data average in Mbps, or that the upload speed is in Mbps? Any disc games that are backwards compatible will need to be installed on the Xbox One by placing
the disc in the console. Any digital backwards compatible games will show up in ready to install as soon as the account is placed on an Xbox One and signed in. We have a list of all

No. Since the game is not backwards compatible it's seen as a different game so it won't see your saves from the 360. Also, the only way to transfer saves from a 360 is through the cloud so in a backwards compatible game it wouldn't recognize saves from
a flash drive.

Thanks for replying and keeping us updated. Since you've tried just about everything so far for troubleshooting, at this point, it would be best to

contact Xbox Support to request a call back. This is so that you can try some more advanced troubleshooting in real time directly. This situation does sound rather unusual and this would be the best approach.

When you go to Contact Usto request a callback, follow these steps:

Step 1 ----Select Xbox One
Step 2 ----Select See other options
Step 3 ----Select topic
Step 4 ----Select "Show contact options"
Step 5 ----Select request a call from support

You may need to switch up the topics if you don't initially see the option for a call back. Once they call, explain the issue and they will be able to help you.
