Backwards compatibility question.

Hi people of xbox, I'm wondering if since backwards compatibility is coming and since it basically runs on the 360 side, party chat friends achievements etc, will the xbox 360 be supported for longer than originally intended? I've been hearing it will shut
down in 2016 but I feel as if they might extends it's life because of the backwards compatibility games that many people will want to play just for the multiplayer, thanks for reading this.

backwards compatibility and Xbox Live

Question about backwards compatibility I get my xbox one Xbox Live through another account because its home Xbox is my xbox, thus I get xbox live. Will I still have the xbox live on the 360 emulator when I use backwards compatibility?

This is a great question! To answer your question any game listed on the Backwards compatible list will work on the xbox one you can find that list here

www.xbox.com/.../backward-compatibility In your situation you have to have the exact game on that list your best bet is to reach out to the game developer and let them know you want it backwards compatible. They don't know unless people like you tell them.

Hi there it is my opinion with backwards compatibility that it will likely end the 360. Not to mention there no games or any news regarding 360 @ E3. If i was to read the tea leaves i would think 360's time is coming to a end.

 

^ that really doesn't make sense at all for them to end it when they just announced backwards compatibility still looking for answers if anyone has sources

Backwards compatibility runs on the 360 live network but I'm sure that in time they will update that so that it will run independently for the shut down of the 360, I wouldn't think that a date has been set as of yet and they will just follow numbers of
users, they wouldn't shut it down if enough people are still using it (as $€¥£40 of each of them is paying wages) tie in with this is the developers, as said little was said about 360 at e3 but game are still in the pipe line for it and will be as long as
there is money in it for them. So I'd say it's got some life left but is in the down hill of the life span
