Backwards Compatibility Question

I'm new to the Xbox community because I have been a Playstation guy for most of my life. In saying that, I have never owned a Xbox 360. Can I go buy some Xbox 360 games and put them into the Xbox One with they become compatible for the One? I want to go
buy all of the older Call of Duty's but don't want to waste the money if it only works for those who have played on Xbox 360 and have already played the games available.

Question about backwards compatibility I get my xbox one Xbox Live through another account because its home Xbox is my xbox, thus I get xbox live. Will I still have the xbox live on the 360 emulator when I use backwards compatibility?

This is a great question! To answer your question any game listed on the Backwards compatible list will work on the xbox one you can find that list here

www.xbox.com/.../backward-compatibility In your situation you have to have the exact game on that list your best bet is to reach out to the game developer and let them know you want it backwards compatible. They don't know unless people like you tell them.

You are able to buy older Xbox 360 games on disc and you'll be able to play them on Xbox One if they become compatible.

You can also buy compatible Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One store via your console.
