    Backwards Compatibility Profile Issue


    When i open a 360 game it loads properly and signs me in under my account but it signs me in as an old gamertag. I can still play everything but if i complete an achievement it doesnt recognize it under my current gamertag and my gamerscrore does'nt budge.
    I tried redownloadiing my profile on 360 and it worked, it says my current gamertag and i get achievements. The problem remains on xbox one backwards compatibility though. Ideas?

    Xbox Backwards Compatibility Profile Issue.

    I attempted to play Portal: Still Alive on my Xbox One recently and was signed out of Xbox Live. Upon trying to start a new game I was told I would have to sign in. The profile that popped up was my profile, but with the name my gamertag was before I paid
    to have it changed. Trying to select it has a prompt come up that says I would have to redownload the profile before I can use it. However, when I input my email and password, which are both correct, it says the information is wrong. Any advice?

    Have you tried dong a power cycle on your console? Hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds, then turn the console back on.

    Hiya OHheyitswill,

    Have you tried a Factore Restore of your console? You can now choose to do so without erasing all of your games and apps. Go to Settings>All Settings>System>Console Info and Updates>Restore. Make sure to check the Keep My Games and Apps box!
