Backwards compatibility only going forward on series s/x?

So a friend of mine is trying to tell me that they are only going to add new backwards compatible games on the next gen systems and leave Xbox one in the dark. As someone who works in the retail industry of selling these consoles I've never heard this but they swear by it. Does anybody have any concrete info about this? All they could provide me with was screenshot of a official post by Microsoft stating that they will be cancelling backwards compatibility on Xbox one but bring it to next gen, I remember the article when it came out and my understanding was that they are just bringing current backwards compatible games and Xbox one Games to next gen, however my friend swears it means only next gen is gonna get new backwards compatible games while last gen gets left out? I'll show some pics, the article then all I could find online relating to backwards compatibility only on next gen.

Original Xbox and Xbox 360 BC for both Xbox One and Series X|S consoles has been suspended. There are no current plans to release any more older titles to these platforms.

The Series X|S consoles are fully BC with all Xbox One games (with the exception of Kinect titles) and all of the original Xbox and 360 tiles that were made BC for Xbox One. That's over 2,000 games.

The BC team are currently working on FPS boost for the Series X|S consoles. FPS boost takes certain Xbox One games that were locked at 30 or 60 fps and upping the frame rate to 60 fps (for 30 fps titles) and up to 120 fps for 60 fps games.

There is going to be an Xbox One version of the game, but no news about an Xbox Series S/X version. Most likely it will come to the Series X/S as a backward compatible title. But as I say no news yet.

Only if the game allows, there is a game that does not have the backward-compatible version and it is only possible to install the version for Xbox Series S/X. If the game allows, you should see 2 game icons in your library, a backward-compatible version and one for the Xbox Series S/X.

It's backwards compatible so you'll be able to play it on the Series S/X. The quality just won't be as good as the actual Series S/X version.

short answer: both yes

Long one: Microsoft confirmed that Hardware will be backward and forward compatible. Series X/S Controller on One Original/X/S. And vice versa.

Design Lab Controllers are normally always the latest design, so yes.
