    Backwards Compatibility Online


    How is online going to work for Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One? Are you going to be able to play online with people that are still playing on the Last-Gen consoles or is there going to be a separate online system for those who are playing Xbox 360 games
    on the Xbox One?

    BORDERLANDS BC ON XBOX ONE Why No Online?

    I have played Borderlands online with a friend through backwards compatibility, so it does work.

    Backwards Compatibility Online

    The online systems are the same. This was stated during the E3 demo of Mass Effect on the Xbox One.

    As a preview member I can say that the system works perfectly (for me at least). Basically you download your digital download from your 360 or download from your disc (of approved games) and it starts right up exactly how backwards compatible Xbox games
    ran on Xbox 360. The XB1 signs in with a grey screen and loads your information (though this might be the build) and signs you in with the 360 look to things and you play. Easy and simple as that.

    Hi

    This is not true the Xbox One can play quite a few Xbox 360 games through backwards compatibility. Please note the console needs to be online to allow it to download the backwards compatible version of the game.
