    backwards compatibility not working on XB1


    unable to play xbox 360 games on my xbox one. xbox one which is updated to the lastest firmware. the first game i tried was Left for dead 2 i got this disc is not playable here 0X8082000c the first time, so i shut it off and tried it again and i got the
    install square and press A and you hear the chime but it will not install, or show in the ready to install. I've tried three copies of left for dead 2 non platinum, Halo Reach and call of duty world at war, i have erased the xbox 360 storage and also tried
    it offline. xbox one games do install but 360 games wont. Any suggestion please!

    Does Mixer support Xbox360 backwards compatibility broadcasting on XB1?

    Does Mixer support Xbox360 Backwards Compatibility broadcasting on XB1?

    If not, are there any plans for the app to support broadcasting 360 games via the backwards compatibility emulation?

    Hey N64DUDE -

    This was a known issue with the Xbox One Preview Program however there was an update pushed out to Xbox One consoles in the program last night. Could you try to install your backward compatible games again please?

    Should I get an Xbox 360 or Xbox One?

    I would recommend waiting until E3 to see what MS announces before making that decision. If you can't do that then look at the backwards compatibility list (

    majornelson.com/.../xbox-one-backward-compatibility     ) and see if there are games you want to play that are also on XB1 now and if so, get the XB1.

    Hey N64DUDE

    A big fix for this that works is to factory reset but use the option to keep my games and apps. This will reset your OS but wont effect your account or games.

    Settings >System >Console Info and Updates >Reset Keep My Games and Apps
