  1. Backwards compatibility not working (L4D2)

Just bought a brand new copy of Left 4 Dead 2 (platinum hit disc) because it is in the backwards compatibility list. Unwrapped it, inserted it into the Xbox one and it says "This game isn't playable here, for a list of Xbox 360 games, go to Xbox.com/backcompat.
0x8082000c" Looks like there was a similar post on here but no resolution. I dont have a 360 to test it. It is a brand new game from Walmart. I have 600Gb of free space on an external drive that is attached.

    :)

  2. Left 4 Dead 2 Backwards Compatibility with Disc

Microsoft plugs that L4D2 is now backwards compatible. They also plug that you can do backwards compatibility either through disc or a digital copy. I just placed my disc in and it says, "This game isn't playable here." Then tells me to go to the website
for the playable 360 games, confirming that L4D2, in fact, is a viable option. It's also giving me the error code: 0x8082000c.

This also happened to my friend on a different console in a different state. For some reason, One is not reading the L4D2 disc as compatible. Help, please.

    Hey there GarasaurusRex,

That error normally occurs when the Xbox One console can't read the disc. Have you tried
Xbox One disc troubleshooting? I'd start out by running through the steps on that page to see if that helps. If you have other Xbox 360 game discs nearby that are backward compatible
on Xbox One, see if those are able to install without any error.

If the issue persists after following those steps, try making sure your Xbox One console is fully updated by following the steps on our

    Update your Xbox One page
    .

Lastly, if your console is already updated, try performing a
Factory Restore on your Xbox One
(select Reset and keep my games & apps to avoid deleting your stuff!). This is a good step to ensure there's nothing software side that could be interfering.

Let us know if that helps!

I'm in the same situation as GarasaurusRex, same edition of the game and plastic wrap and everything. I followed your instructions, and even after the factory restore the problem persists.

    L4D2 backward compatible

I'm Samy an independent advisor and I'll be helping you :D

    How are you?

The game remains on the backwards compatibility list.

Internet is required to install Xbox 360 games. Is your console connected to the internet? If yes, follow the steps below.

Remove the disc from the console, do these 2 steps, and try again, please.

Step 1: Clear the storage cache on your console.

Press the Menu key on your controller.

Click Settings, devices and streaming and then go Blu-Ray.

    Select Persistent Storage.

Click Clear Persistent Storage 3 times

Step 2: Power cycle your console.

Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console's power cable, wait 10 seconds. Be sure to wait 10 seconds, this step resets the power supply.

Plug the console power cable back in, turn on your Xbox.

Why does left 4 dead 2 runs so poorly in my xbox series S

L4D2 is an Xbox 360 backwards compatible game. As such it still runs at its original frame rate which a is mere 30fps. It was never given any FPS boost treatment.

No resetting or changing of network settings will change this fact unfortunately.

    Account with multiplayer privileges.

    L4D2 is a backwards compatible 360 game.

    Load any 360 game.

Once loaded hit the start and select buttons (small round buttons on either side of the big xbox button) on controller.

This will bring up the 360 guide choose download profile from there.
