Backwards compatibility Not getting supported anymore?

Hi Xbox,

Why has the games to get supported with Xbox 1 X backward compatibility slowed to a crawl, every month there is less effort into getting games supported and now there is hardly ever new games added to the list?

Originally when the Xbox One X came out I was on the fence about getting one , but once I found out about the amazing work being done with backwards compatibility and the Hugh amount of games getting supported every month I got one right away. Now month
later its seem like support for the program has been almost completely dropped, with barely 5% of the entire 360 and OG xbox games supported. Why has this happend? Wasn't it selling enough Xboxs, was the whole thing just a marketing strategy?

Whilst I love my X1X and hve been very impressed with it performance in many games, its not living up to the promise of one of the main reasons I bout it and its really need this as there still isnt any great exclusives for the console , in fact theres
barly even any good ones.

Still going, its just hard to get the developers to allow it. I'm sure a lot of them want money for it.

7 games were added last month from original xbox and more from 360 I dont know where you are getting your stats from there is almost 400 games in the bc library which is far more rhen any bc library out there now regardless of console

Asthe others stated ts upto the developers snd the licenses if.they still.carry them or even if the dev teams arw still around

There is no.new. Profit for the teams as it would.cost more to.renew tllicenses like teams or music for.old.games

They would.be more.profitable.to.focus on new games with current licenses

2 games are added via the games with gold every month that doesnt include the other games they add weekly

Remember not all games are up for bc because of licensing or the dev team is gone which happens alot

Your best bet stay away from sports games as they are expensive to get new licenses different teams companies etc etc

Ask the developera for bc if they still exist

It's definitely still being supported, but it's mostly up to the publishers/developers as well.

Microsoft makes the platform available, but most of the game's decision to enter the backward compatibility list is in the hands of the developers.
