    Because of backward compatibility you will be able to join parties, join games but only the xbox 360 game you have started up.

    Backwards Compatibility Gaming with Friends

    Most (if not all) games with both an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One port do not allow cross-platform play. This is usually due to performance and game balancing reasons, since the Xbox One hardware is more powerful and faster than the Xbox 360.

    For example, the game, "Destiny" has both Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions. Xbox 360 players cannot play with Xbox One players, and vice versa.

    You can only play backwards compatible games across both platforms.

    As mentioned,you can't play a xbox one version of a game with people on the 360 version apart from World of Tanks I believe.

    Only backwards compatible games as far as I know

    You would need to be playing a backwards compatible 360 version of a game on the xbox one in order to play with friends who are on a 360.

    As Battlefield 4 is available on the xbox one I wouldn't think the 360 version would be made backwards compatible.

    I'm surprised that backwards compatibility doesn't have more votes. I'd like to see backwards compatibility, or at the least the ability to play multiplayer with friends playing the same game on Xbox 360 :)

    You and your friends can play any Xbox 360 game together that is backwards compatible on the Xbox one. They can be on the Xbox One and you on the 360 playing the same game as if they were on a 360 still. If you need more info or want to check which games
