    Backwards Compatibility Games


    Hi all,

    Have a few 360 BC games both digital and physical disc, curious if when playing them on the XB1 they are streamed as i seemed to be using more internet usage lately.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Because of backward compatibility you will be able to join parties, join games but only the xbox 360 game you have started up.

    Backwards Compatibility Games

    They are downloaded to your XB1 hdd, no streaming is done, be it digital or from disc, they are all downloaded to your HDD, they do not even play from the original disc, although you will still require that in the machine to play the game for security reasons.

    But i would guess all those games will no doubt amount for a lot of downlaod usage.

    While it is true that backwards compat is on hold. Every backwards compat licensing has to approved by the developer for that game to approve the ability of backwards compatibility. There are some developers unfortunately that will not allow there games
    to be backwards compatible .

    That game is not backwards compatible. You can find a list of all games that are compatible at https://www.xbox.com/games/backward-compatibility

    There is no way to request a game to be compatible. The backwards compatibility program ended in 2021, so anything that is not compatible, won't be.
