    I want to get the series s for Christmas but i dont know weather or not ill be able to play some games. For example, if i have installed a disc game on my xbox 1 S will it be installable on the new xbox?

    Please let me know because this could differ which console i get

    There is going to be an Xbox One version of the game, but no news about an Xbox Series S/X version. Most likely it will come to the Series X/S as a backward compatible title. But as I say no news yet.

    Xbox backwards compatibility team..

    The back compat team are currently working on getting the games backward compatible on the Series X/S. No one knows if or when the program will resume after the games become compatible on the new console.

    The $29 one you saw is the Xbox One version of the game which is backwards compatible with the Series S/X. The 360 version is not backwards compatible.

    The Series S/X is the new Xbox console. One games will work on a Series S/X because of backwards compatibility, but it doesn't work the other way around. Some games have been made for both, so you would need to make sure to buy a game compatible with the
    One.
