    backwards compatibility crap

Back in june I made a deal with my parents that if I sold my 360 I could get an xbox one and I did that seeing that backwards compatibility was coming out but I really wanted black ops 2 and skyrim and those aren't even on the coming soon list and we wont
even get Black ops 1 til june. am I the only one who feels ripped off here?

    :)

    USED GAMES QUESTION

Considering Microsoft didn't give a crap about backwards compatibility this generation, I don't see why they would in the next one

Why are you feeling ripped off? Were you told any definite dates these specific games would be available?

I was told that popular games would be coming every week. I found that at games-xbox one compatible-new games coming every month. They've had halo reach in December, halo wars in January, etc.

And those games are published by Microsoft, so it's easier for them to do backward compatibility. Games like Call of Duty and Skyrim are owned by other companies (Activision for Call of Duty; Bethesda for Skyrim). Those companies have to be involved and
not all will agree to it, and those that do may not do so right away. Some companies may prefer to focus their time and resources on newer games and not on older games that they may believe will slow down sales of the newer games.

    Just my opinion.

  9. Backwards compatibility is sort of 'meh'... (unless TES: Oblivion and Skate 3 get added haha)

Either way I don't feel ripped off no.

Optic Ghost 16 just because your favorite titles have been released on BC yet really doesn't make it crap as you say. Try some new games maybe you will find a new favorite game. Happy Gaming!

  11. The backwards compatible states that new games are coming each month, it doesn't state which games and the games on the coming soon list aren't necessarily the next ones in line, just that they have been confirmed. The program launched November 12th, so
lots of things still need ironing out anyways.

Aye, as Johnny stated. It was never said that they would be released on a weekly basis, it was stated it would be on a monthly basis.

Who was it that told you it would be weekly?

Why would you specifically sell your 360 in order to play last gen games? It's a nice perk, but if your main want is to play 360 games, keep your 360.

You are right to feel ripped off.

Why would anyone want to play Backwards Compatible titles in the first place?

Apart from a small handful of games that will be 'really special' to certain individuals who cares about dated games when you could be playing the heaps of good stuff that's out today?

The BC push is designed to do one thing: Encourage XBox 360 owners to come to the XBox ONE.

It worked the way Microsoft wanted it to. Unfortunately not the way you wanted it to.

The only one I'm waiting for is Skyrim. Bethesda already did Fallout 3 at BC launch, obviously they are somewhat onboard with BC content. It's not like I'm asking for some obscure title that no one else plays.
