Xbox one backward compatibility

I currently live in South Africa and own an Xbox 360, I am moving to South Korea in May and would like to buy and Xbox One while there. My question is, would the Xbox One bought in South Korea be backwards compatible with the Xbox 360 games bought in South
Africa?

Can't play games from another region

I bought my Xbox 360 console in the USA and I live in South Africa. I bought a game in South Africa and it won't play on my console. Is there any way to get the game/s from South Africa to play as I won't always be able to buy games in the US as I live in
South Africa?

You should have no issues as long as your account regiom matches your actual region

My Microsoft, actual and xbox regions match and I am still unable to download, buy or play xbox back compat games, cant even download games with gold back comp games.

Hey, dowayn! You should be able to use it. Is there a particular game you are having trouble with? We're currently looking into a few issues with games, and not all games are currently backward compatible.

Additionally, you will not be able to buy the games from your Xbox One console. You will have to purchase them from website or an Xbox 360 console.

Post back with which games you're having issues with and we'll look into it further from there.

It will depend on the game you are trying to play, but only a percentage of Xbox 360 games are region free. If you're only ever going to be purchasing games in South Africa, it would be best to get a South Africa (PAL) Xbox 360. However, you can usually
find a region compatability list online to see what games you could potentially play on your US (NTSC) Xbox 360

Unfortunately, according to
South Africa's Backwards Compatibility list, Star Wars:The Force Unleashed II is not available in your region at this time. That is why the game is not showing up in your "Ready to Install" list on your Xbox One console.

South Africa Games wiith Gold on my 360 shows that I can download Plants vs Zombies, but when I open the link, there are only two options: Rate and Pin. No Download/Purchase option. Website Gold page only show XBOX ONE games. Will this be fixed or is South
