    Backwards comp. "coming soon"...


    Ok, so I bought Black Ops 1 today in the hopes of playing it on the Xbone since it's on their list of backwards compatibility games but when I tried to play it it wouldn't work. So I went and checked the list again and saw it was under a sub-category that
    said "coming soon". Ok well how soon? I find it kinda dumb that they wouldn't even put an official date.

    No one knows the timetable or when they finished the patch

    Hi,

    I think It takes time to get the games on the virtual machine and getting permissions from the Developers/Publishers.

    I am sure that it will be very soon, just be patient and you will be playing blacks op on your xbox one.

    Maybe it will come to backwards compatibility when the new Series X is released and they work on doing the backwards comps again. That game really was a lot of fun.

    Xbox One Refuses To Read Red Dead Redemption

    I kept power cycling until the disc went from reading RDR as "insert a disc" to "install disc", for some reason backwards comp users have issues catching the required update download for backwards comp when using the disc version of a game, it should work
    as soon as the disc is read as install instead of insert though, just click on it when it says install, and it'll mention the update.

    You need to reach out to the developer of the game and submit your request with them. The developers are the ones that decide what comes to Backwards Comp.
