    Need some help guys my friend bought a few Xbox 360 games to play on the Xbox one but it's not saving his game progress any help. He hasn't got live or had them on 360 previously but shouldn't it save the game progress to his hard drive. I think dirt was
    one of the games or dirt 3 I think he said

    unfortunately you can't transfer saves for non backward compatible games

    Ok so I have an Xbox 360 and an Xbox one s. I have GTA V for the 360, I'm aware that the game itself it not backwards compatible and I'd need to buy the Xbox one version of the game. What I want to know is if I buy the Xbox one version of the game can I
    transfer over my 360 game saves/ progress over. I have a flash drive plugged into my 360 with my game saves on it and an external hard drive plugged into my Xbox one. Can I transfer over my saves or am I going to have to start over?

    No. Since the game is not backwards compatible it's seen as a different game so it won't see your saves from the 360. Also, the only way to transfer saves from a 360 is through the cloud so in a backwards compatible game it wouldn't recognize saves from
    a flash drive.

    You need to save to the cloud on your Xbox 360 to have access to backwards compatible game saves.
