Backward compatible Xbox games for kinect

We play Kinect sports rivals for Xbox one but the Kinect sport games on 360 look more fun.

Does anyone know if these are back compatible so we can buy and play on the One system? Not really interested if graphics are not great, we just play to have fun and call it exercise and family nights.

Kinect Games Backward Compatible

Hi, the reason the xbox 360 kinect games are not being made backward compatible, is because the the Xbox One Kinect is not compatible with those games. As for the Xbox One Kinect games, they are quite a few on the marketplace. More do get released, so
keep an eye on the store.

I don't think any of the Xbox 360 Kinect games can be played on the Xbox One, because the

360 Kinect is not compatible with the Xbox One, but feel free to look the the list of

backwards compatible games anyway.

No.The Kinect on the xbox one is different from the one on the 360 so isn't compatible with 360 Kinect games.

It has been said repeatedly that no game that requires a peripheral, whether it be the Kinect, a camera, or a custom controller will be made backward compatible.

It has also been said that Kinect would always be part of the X Box One and backward compatibility was impossible. Lol. So while I don't see it happening...never say never. ;-)

@jayadub, incorrect as burnout paradise will be coming to BC soon and that needs a camera for putting a photo on your licence.

What's incorrect? That isn't my statement, I'm only repeating what MS has said. Burnout Paradise may be coming to BC but it doesn't REQUIRE the camera to be able to play the game. There is a difference.

I guess we'll see when it releases if that ability still exists in game.

None of the Kinect games are backwards compatible. Wish they were I know a couple that own an XB1 that would enjoy some of the 360 Kinect games.

No. Since the Kinect hardware was not backwards compatible, the games are not backwards compatible.

Unless if Microsoft makes an Xbox 360 adapter for the Xbox One, this may not be possible.

Xbox 360 Kinect games are programmed specifically for the 360 Kinect Sensor, and the Xbox One Kinect Sensor doesn't offer any sort of backward compatibility (afaik). It's likely the reason why there are virtually no 360 Kinect games
on backward compatibility.

Unfortunately no, it looks like Original Kinect games will more than likely will not make the transition in the backwards compatibility.
