    backward compatible games on my console doesn't start. it freezes at the xbox 360 title. also when I try to report the issue the preview app does not successfully open

    Backwards compatibility

    Xbox one will be backwards compatible starting this holiday with select games and more games add in the later months. Preview members will be able to try backwards compatible before the official release

    Digital downloads 360 to xbox one

    Currently backwards compatibility will only work if you are part of the preview program. If you are, any games that have been made backwards compatible will show as ready to install in your games and apps.

    Otherwise, you will have to wait until backwards compatibility is available to everyone.

    The backwards compatability is being tested by the Xbox preview program users, I don't expect it will be to long but you may find that only a few games will be available to begin with. I don't think every game will work but I imagine most will.

    Only a few will play for preview members at the moment but backwards compatibility is being released to everyone in November.

    Not all 360 games will be backwards compatible.
