Backward Compatible 360 game won’t play

I bought my husband an Xbox one for his birthday. One of the games he got was far cry 3 for 360 (gift sender’s error). We double and triple checked that it is on the BC list, but when we insert it in the Xbox one, all we get is a message saying ‘please try
again’ with an error code that apparently doesn’t exist when I search it. We have power cycled the console and checked for disc damage (nothing detrimental). WHAT IS GOING ON?!

You need the following to play backward compatible games: The official xbox 360 hard drive and a backward compatible game. 50 Cent Bulletproof was never made backward compatible and updates to the emulator stopped several years ago so you're out of luck.

 

The Matrix: Path of Neo Xbox (Original)

Only games that are backwards compatible will play on a 360 with a hard drive. All versions of the 360 either came with an official hard drive or you could buy one separately.
