  1. Backward Compatibility Startup Framerate Hiccup

Often, (but not always) when I start up a backward compatible title, and it could be any one, say World at War for instance, the Xbox 360 logo animation will experience a sometimes subtle, sometimes striking frame hiccup as the ribbon rotates around the
central Xbox logo. I watched a few videos and I haven't seen this occur, and one of my friends says this doesn't happen to him.

Does anyone else experience this? Is there anything that could be done to "fix" it, if it even could be or needs to be fixed?

    :)

    Mass Effect 1 framerate

I would first like to start by saying that I am very happy with Microsoft’s backwards compatibility program, and love my Xbox One more because of it. Anyways, Mass Effect 1 still has bad framerate issues. I am not mad, I just thought I’d let you know. If
this can be fixed I would be very grateful.

Besides framerate issues I have nothing else to complain about with this game on backwards compatibility.

    Thank you very much Microsoft.

Forza Horizon frame drop to 10 FPS

I have had a similar issue with framerate drops in Forza Horizon. In my case they come and go, lasting no more than a few seconds, but it is still very annoying. Unfortunately, framerate drops seem to be a common occurrence with some of the backward compatibility
titles. I've had the problem both with and without the 1000 Club DLC and after clearing the cash. Luckily, as I said, it comes and goes for me.

The majority of us here use our xbox ones to play xbox one games so probably have no answer.

Doesn't sound like anything to worry about really.

No need to keep bumping the thread,if someone has an answer for you then they'll post.

  7. if power cycling your console does not fix it, try deleting the affected games and re-installing them, otherwise i wouldn't worry about it, if it is only doing it on the start up logo and not the actual game itself.

    Backward Compatibility Startup Framerate Hiccup

The only problem with B.C. for me is being booted offline every time. Say's something to the fact off not being able to play online on "...this console." Tried it on my two X Box One s and my girlfriends; all three are in the preview, so maybe that's it.

    Peace, J.R.

Everything related to the Xbox 360 is loaded from the internal HDD of the Xbox One even if your playing a disc (your really not).

So it stands to reason any hiccups in the Xbox 360 intro sequence are probably down it being a bug or down to HDD/CPU speed issues as it's just a video/animation playing.

    1) You have a launch Xbox One without the newer hybrid SSD/HDD in later Xbox, though I do have one and cant say I noticed this but I also haven't been looking for it either.

    2) The HDD is under strain from loading a particular title, the HDD's in the Xbox One are slow laptop 5400RPM drives, not speedy drives by any measure, if the HDD is struggling to keep up loading the game, the Xbox 360 OS the intro animation may glitch out.

The CPU in the Xbox One originally had a portion of it walled off to handle background tasks, this was scaled back to the bare minimum to improve the performance of the Xbox in games, this has affected the OS and background tasks as they are now forced to
compete for resources. This can manifest in some situations like when starting an app is says please wait a moment or when in game you press the Xbox jewel on the controller and the OS Home screen doesn't respond the first time.

As to a fix well you could try getting an external SSD drive and install your Xbox 360 titles onto it, that would eliminate any speeds issues though I cant say for certain everything related to the Xbox 360 would run from the external SSD, from what I've
heard though all Xbox 360 titles on the X1 are packaged individually with Xbox 360 OS so if that's true then the Xbox 360 stuff should run from the SSD alongside the game assets.

If it still happens even with the SSD then it's probably a bug of some kind nothing to worry about really and pure SSD's are so much better than old HDD's or hybrid HDD's to begin with so it's nice to have one for Xbox use though sadly a lot of the built
in system apps cannot be moved to external SSD only games and third party apps.
