Backward compatibility region locked?

Hello everyone,

I have a Microsoft Gold account active on Xbox One S and I wanted to download Dragon Age 2 available as free game with Gold this month.

My problem is that I receive the following message: " Sorry, this offer is not valid in your region". I think that there is a region lock issue.

I'm located in Eastern Europe and I was able to purchase other games without problems, until now.

How can I download and play this game if I don't have my old Xbox 360 console anymore and, from what I've read, the Xbox One console is region free, except China?

The backwards compatible list is the same for all regions, but there may be some games that are region locked and may not be available in Brazil or all regions.

If you havent queued it noone can extend the offer

If your account region doesnt reflect your actual region that would be why as it is region locked

Guys Good news..... Backward compatibility is region free bcoz of Xbox one dvd drive which is itself region free.

This sounds like D.N.S. propagation,

or so.

I'll wait to see if I'll be able to acquire the game before 15 December, date when the game will not be available for free through Gold membership. Hope I will be lucky.
