Backward-compatibility on xbox one (I've never had before xbox360). The problem with ...

I am a member of the xbox preview program. I can't buy the some games for xbox 360 (for example crysis 3, fallout 3), because an error: "Sorry! This content is not available for consoles in your region" (although there are no restrictions for Russian
region).

Russian tech support did not helped and closed my case [Mod Removed]

In during Gold possession status,I tried to get a variety of games on the Game with Gold:

Hahaha, this is funny!. I'm thinking this response is in direct relation to all the posts about backwards compatibility.

Oh his is easy to fix

First and foremost what region is your accoumt and what is the region if your 360 consile

Was it pal or ntsc

If you had used a previous 369 console that wasnt pal and your account is pal thats why you are getting that errror

You must have a previously registered 369 console that matches your actual region

So if you are using an us account but a pal console that wont work

 

For some specific games like tombraider or gears or halo their region restrictions are more tougher

Like account region and actual region and console region have to match

360 region restrictions still apply even though one isnregion free according tomthe preview team

 

Best way to fix that ia match your account region with your actual region plus login with a pal region 360 console which will fix future issues

 

Could be a friends or a rented console it just has to match your actual region

 

everywhere used russian region: ip, account, console. unfortunately all my friends and I do not have the xbox360. You workaround is not the most comfortable :-(

 

Should.be easy to rent a console.its only like 30 bucks a day you just need to queue one game

You need to use a 360 console ince that ia ofyour region.

Otherwise you cannot use any content that is region locked

 

It is not checkingfor a xbox one it is checking for 369 compatibility

You can only do that with a 360

As mentionwd by te preview team the region locks stjll apply

Younonly have to download one game that is free then there wont be further issues so a rented console or a friends 360 will solve the issue as it is only needed once and on the first purchase unless you use the region migration tool

 

Using thr tool wont solve your issue since your region has to match your physical region it resets your compatibility though if you move it to lets say a ntsc regjon

 

Yournonly option is to use a 360 console once whenever it is a friend or a borrowed or a rented console

Rentals are easy to get

 

Or forgo the games that have region locks which is most triple a games

 

Or wait for the actual bc release and see if they do anything aboutnthe region check via console

Which i doubt as its older games and unlikely the publishers will patch old games
