Backward Compatibility of Xbox One X about Xbox 360 game "Mass Effect 2"

I am in trouble because I cannot install Xbox 360 game "Mass Effect 2" on my Xbox One X console, in spite of "Mass Effect 2" exists in backward compatibility list (Xbox One 下位互換性 | Xbox).

I bought digital version in Microsoft Store of Windows 10. But I couldn't install "Mass Effect 2" on my Xbox One X console, although I could install "Mass Effect 1" and "Mass Effect 3".

I have a Xbox 360 console too, so I can play "Mass Effect 2" game. But I want to play it on the Xbox One X console, if possible.

Is there a method to install this game on my Xbox One X console?

What are you guys excited about seeing at E3 2016?

i'd like to see an announcement about a new xbox, halo 6, halo wars 2 and backwards compatibility for mass effect 2 and 3 for the xbox one. that's it

 

Hi, that link is for the Japanese version of the game, it will not install on the Xbox one if the console is set to a different region, it needs to be set to Japan to download the game.

 

The game is also available in the EA Access Vault but you will need EA Access to download it.

 

Have you verified that you have purchased the title? Since you have an Xbox 360, this might be the better place to check it first.

Log onto your Xbox 360 and go to Settings -> Account -> Download History. Games are listed in the order they were purchased (newest to oldest), so "Mass Effect 2" should appear first. You can select it and install it to your Xbox 360 right there.

But you said you wanted to play it on Xbox One. Provided your account owns it, it should appear in My Games & Apps -> Ready to Install. Be sure you're signed into Xbox One using the same one you use on Xbox 360 (and the same one you used to purchase the game
originally).

 

I examined various web sites. The result is that US version of "Mass Effect 2" have backward compatibility of the Xbox One console, but Japanese version don't have it.

I guess that Japan Microsoft made a mistake when they wrote Japanese backward compatibility list. ("Mass Effect 2" exists in the graphical list, but it doesn't in the text list.)

Fortunately, I have a Xbox 360 console, so I will play it on my Xbox 360 console.

I could install "Mass Effect 2" on my Xbox One X console by "EA Access" subscription! Moreover, it is possible to play in Japanese.

But I couldn't install "Mass Effect 2" JP version that I had bought before in Microsoft Store.

Therefore, I will have to continue "EA Access" subscription if I would want to play "Mass Effect 2" on my Xbox One X console in the future. Although it is only JPY 3000 per year...
