    Backward Compatibility not working


    I bought the grandkid a Xbox 360 E 250GB Kinect Holiday Value Bundle for Christmas. He recently received some original Xbox games that are on the compatibility list. When we put them in the 360 it says a file needs to be downloaded and to
    check xbox.com/games for info (which has no info). We are on Xbox Live, have up to date software, and all original parts. Everything I've read says that the download should be automatic. What am I doing wrong?

    My region is Russia, but it still not working. I just cant get any Backward Compatibility games.

    Do the games not start at all or is this an issue trying to play multiplayer? If this is in regard to multiplayer, the servers for Halo 2 and Need for Speed Underground 2 have been shut down. I am not sure about Call of Duty 3.

    Homegrown, the Live service for original Xbox games was completely shut down years ago, so you wouldn' t be able to get online with COD either.

    They will work as long as they are backwards compatible. If they're not backwards compatible, then they won't work on anything other than a 360 console.

    The One store/website have never been updated to work with the currency system for backwards compatible content. The only way to purchase backwards compatible games with the funds on your account is through a 360 console.

    No. Minecraft is not backwards compatible.

    There has been no announcement about all 360 games working on the One. Only games that are backwards compatible will work.
