    Backward Compatibility In Progress Update


    Are games still being worked on to become backwards compatible? What I can find on this site in the "In Progress" is nearly a year old. I would like to know if Xbox is continuing this effort and if so what is in the queue to be worked on.

    Xbox originals games come up with "the game couldn't start. try downloading again"

    Some games just had an update that had to be downloaded, but it wasn't a specific backwards compatibility update. At this point, all consoles have the backwards compatibility update like dave said.

    MS are even used the Skate 3 game cover as a teaser on the Backwards Compatibility information pages!

    Well, you tricked me... I immediately bought the game digitally, but it turned out l still can't download/play the game.

    Part of backward compability in November 2015?

    Announced as an upcoming title for backward compatibility in December 2015?

    Still marked as "in-progress" in March 2016?

    Exactly WHAT is in progress, anyway?

    More games are being added all the time for example, last week The Orange Box was released on Backward Compatibility and just this morning RAGE was added. There isn't a site that lists the games being worked on, but you can see a full list of games
    HERE. And you'll want to keep an eye on the
    Xbox Wire and
    majornelson.com     for the latest news and updates about games being released.

    Backward Compatibility feedback is being ignored

    Its true this game was used in advertisements saying that this game was backwards compatible, and on the xbox site it was stated as backwards compatible, it was even on the xbox one store, and a month later it was taken down and changed to "In Progress"

    If it's not backward compatible then it's not backward compatible and never will be as they stopped updating the emulator years ago. The only Robotech game that is backward compatible is Battlecry.

    If you put your save on the cloud, then you would be able to start from where you were. Otherwise, you would have to start your game over. Achievements are saved on the servers so those would not start over.
