Backward compatibility for DLC

I am not sure where this should be posted. I understand that compatibility of saved game files is supposed to only work through cloud saves (seems limiting, especially since my cloud storage is low). I want to know how DLC will work for games on the compatibility
list? Or must it all be bought again or just unavailable?

It's time to stop the side scrolling madness that has currently plagued the backward compatibility list, in favor of more MMO type games.

the only info I have seen at the moment is via the xbox support twitter account :

Q: When Backwards Compatibility is fully implemented, will DLC from my 360 games transfer over/ be usable on my Xbox One?

A: Hey there, good question! While the console allows it, DLC of specific titles is up to the publisher ^GC

Any games which are BC when it goes live to the public their DLC will also be BC.

if you have bought DLC you shouldn't have to pay again I will do some checking.

Okay, but how would it transfer? Will the DLC just be under the BC title through Dashboard and will have to be downloaded again? Since I read that BC save data must be on the cloud, but nothing about DLC.

We don't know this yet they are hoping to give the preview program the chance to test DLC we should have more info then.

Considering that Oblivion is backwards compatible, all associated DLC should also be backwards compatible.

The DLC content is transferable as long as the game is backwards compatible. Sadly, since ghosts isn't yet backwards compatible the DLC isn't either :/ I agree there should be some sort of exception with DLC

Hey, TRU! Licenses should be carried over for DLC, and most games that have DLC and have been made backwards compatible have their DLC backwards compatible, too.

What game are you inquiring about? This will help us determine if you should see it on your Xbox One or not.

Backward compatibility for DLC
