    My xbox will not start assassin's creed 3 while it is now compatible, I have the cd of the game, a message tells me that is not compatible, my xbox is update.

    Backwards compatibility for XB360 multi-disc games

    Hi

    Is it true that multi-disc games (such as Mass Effect3, Assassin's Creed 3, Lost Odyssey....) will never be concerned by backwards compatibility ?

    Backward compatibility assassin's creed 3

    Hey there whatsername21,

    It's possible the disc is dirty or damaged, does it appear to have any scratches or smudges on it? Does it work in an Xbox 360 console?

    My disc is clean and have no damaged, when i insert the disc this message appears (in french cause i'm french) : "Il est impossible de jouer ce jeu ici. Pour une liste de jeux xbox360 qui peuvent être joués sur Xbox one, allez xbox.com/BackCompat. (0x8082000c)"

    Translate In english "It"s impossible to play this game here, ... go to the website..."

    Thanks for the information,

    Are you putting in Disc 1 or Disc 2? Do you currently have an Xbox Live Gold Subscription? I only ask because it's currently free with Games with Gold, so I wanted to see if you may have also obtained it through that.

    I have only one disc for the game. I don't have gold subscription. It's maybe a bug in the update, i waiting the next update, thanks for the help.

    Assassins Creed 3 is on the backwards compatibility list, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? And seeing if redownloading it will fix it?

    It is unlikely that Ghosts will be since the one copy is already available and sledgehammer games didn't offer an upgrade

    Plus if I remember correctly Microsoft promised every free with gold game would be backwards compatible and yet Assassin's Creed 4 is it backwards compatible BioShock Infinite is and backwards compatible those are just examples don't lie to us Microsoft
