Backward compatibility and modded lobbies.

So its great that Microsoft made the ONE compatible to play Black Ops 1.

One thing I guess they didnt consider is the modded lobbies.

First of all, let me just say I will never run a modded lobby. Dont think modding is worth the risk. Besides the fact you can get banned, and I have a lot of money invested in Xbox to risk getting banned. So please hold the accusations of calling me a modder,
it wont make a difference to me. And NO I did not get an invite or some stupid thing like that.

2nd day into playing the game. I fall into a modded lobby. Never thought they were possible to fall into one. I assumed it was modded 360s that ran on different servers instead of XBL.

Luckily Black Ops has Theater mode and saved that game. Even though I was only in it for 5 seconds before "You have been verified" showed up and I turned if off, unplugged it and rebooted. Deleted the Black Ops install as well. Played the Theater mode copy
and you could instantly see menus on the left hand side including "Infect All" on there.

So do these infect ONEs as well ? Anything being done with this ? I chatted with Microsoft immediately after it happening and they said that they have my back. But yet they told me to contact Activision support and they no longer support that game and will
do nothing to the modders.

Any details on this would help. I assumed 6 months ago this may be a problem and it look like I am right.

Dont Shut Down Xbox 360 Servers [READ]

HOW ABOUT DO THE RIGHT THING AND END THE MODDING BY SHUTTING DOWN THE 360. Modded lobbies only exist because of JTAG AND JAIL-BREAK 360'S. "MODDING" and "MODDED LOBBIES" can be ended, completely if the 360 is shut down. The XBOX 1 S is coming in a couple
months, seriously, why would you keep the 360 going? It's 2017, get an XBOX 1. Black-ops 2 is misery to even play with nothing but modded lobbies. My friends and I are on XBOX 1'S, WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH 360 MODDERS. Supreme Commander 2 was the greatest
RTS game ever made, backwards compatibility has ruined it. 360 PLAYERS DO NOT EVEN SEE THE SAME GAME AS XBOX 1 PLAYERS AFTER THE 10 MINUTE MARK. XBOX TOLD ME THERE WAS A TRANSLATION LAG BETWEEN THE 2 SYSTEMS.

 

Are there alot of modded lobbies in bo2??

GUNZY, 1 out 3 lobbies is modded, it's misery. Me and my friends report probably 10 modders a day. We have reported, we have called, seriously, nothing is done. I had a modder erase all my stats on BO2 and send me a message saying "WE RULE THE USA." WHY
DO I HAVE TO DEAL WITH 360 MODDERS WHEN I'M ON AN XBOX1?" Backwards compatibility is completely ruining the experience for XBOX 1 players.

Your best option for the moment is to use the reporting tools on your console to file a report against the gamers in the lobby. That way the Policy and Enforcement Team can properly investigate. Also, keep that Theater save file.
