Backward Compatibility 360-One

So I recently bought Black Ops 1 (and some DLC) on the Xbox 360 and I want to play it with my friend on his Xbox One.

Sadly, the internet connection at his house is really bad (it would take 4 full days to download BO1 without the DLC) and he can't fix that.

I was wondering if we could play it on his One if I downloaded the game at my house from my 360 on a USB-stick and plug it in his One?

Also, if it works, can i move the files from the USB to his One so that the game is on there permanent?

No that is not possible. To be able to play a digital version game you should download it from the xbox live servers

As M3tal Daz3 said, it would not be possible to do this. This is because the files for the game on the Xbox 360 are different to the files needed for it to play on the Xbox One. Usually when first playing a backwards compatible game on the Xbox One it needs
and update so that it can be played on the Xbox One. So unfortunately the game will have to be bought on the Xbox One from the Xbox Live Store servers.

Hi, you don't have to purchase the game again, just log in with your account on your friends xbox one, and then download the game to the xbox one, once you have done that, everytime you come round to play the game, just log in and play the game. If your
friend wants to play the game, he will have to purchase the game.

 

Hey there TotalTim13,

As the others have suggested, you will need to be signed into your account to play the game, however you can copy the game to an External USB 3.0 hard drive on an Xbox One console and plug that into your friends console to play the game without having to
download the full game again. It's not possible to move an Xbox 360 installation to an Xbox One console though.
