    Backward Compatibilitiy

What is taking Xbox so long with bringing
GRID Ravenwood (Grid is the first on 360) over to backward compatibility? I mean I been emailing putting in the forum, calling mailing a letter and I get nothing. I need an answer.
GRID has enuff vote to be placed in backward compatibility. Just let me know something.

Is it because CodeMaster won't let you. And don't give me that have your friends vote for the game and we will look at it and put it on there I been there done that when the Xbox one came out and announced that you can play 360 games on the Xbox One. I
did it every year and my friends and I we do this every year get on our 360 and play grid then we go vote and nothing happens. You all put games nobody played on the 360 and made it backward compatible. Why can't you do it for Grid? That's too much of a
hassle to plug your 360 to the Xbox One X and play it threw that and I would be easy to just pop the game in a so call backward compatible console and can play that one. you can email at *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. *** message me on my game system Gamertag Or something.

I never even got a letter back from you all when I sent a letter out to Xbox expressing my concerns. I'm very hurt and at a discus and I been with you all since the beginning of
Xbox, 360, Thin 360, Xbox one(fat one), Slim Xbox, and now the New Xbox One X 2 times and I get no responce. I would like a deep answer and nothing but the truth why you all won't put Grid for Backward Compatibility.

    P.S Please Answer.

You will see a lot of happy gamers then we can pack the 360 up and keep it for a collection.

    Xbox Fan for life.

    :)

It's not totally up to Microsoft. It's largely up to the developers to allow the games to be compatible.

Yeah. But so tell me this how do they deside what game is going to be backwards. Is it part of the voting, communicating to with the developers or is it all.

    Hello Memphis,

There are a lot of factors that come into play when making a game backward compatible. The main one is the developers allowing it to become backward compatible. So if the developer is not around any longer or has changed names or merged it is hard to get
the game backward compatible. You may message the developer of the game and let them know that you want it to become backward compatible.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Probably several different factors, whether the developers/publishers still have licenses for the games and want to put in the work to make them compatible, whether or not they sell, etc.

The voting that was previously available would basically show popular opinion of what should be compatible, but was never guaranteed to make any of those games compatible.

As many have already answered there can be many factors, and there's no such thing as having "enough" votes for a game to become a guaranteed backwards compatible game.

I see it can be frustrating, waiting for so long and not getting an answer, but please understand that it is not possible for the backwards compatibility team to provide detailed feedback about each and every game.

Rest assured that Microsoft's drive is to make as many games as possible playable on Xbox One. If this has not yet happen to Grid there must be some good reason… like others answered, often is the publisher's choice that prevents this.

Unfortunately, we just do not know what is going on with this particular game and backwards compatibility.

The developers have to approve the backwards compatibility, it's not Microsoft's decision, they just help with making it work

Thank you Maguz and XBF Brad A. I see that now. but when I called and talked to Xbox agents they did not have any answers for me or how to address it. Thank you for letting me know. Now I know how it works now. It is basically up to the developer to
choose to make it backward compatible and then after that we as gamers vote then it is up to Microsoft to push it along. So I will have to talk to the Developers and ask them to have a game to be backward compatible and it is up to them to do it or not.
That made my day. I feel better now. Sorry for all the fuss.

    out.

I do have one question for you all though. I want to change my Gamertag from to . Do they charge for making a change like that?

Yes, and in that situation you would have to pay twice. The tag system does not see things like capitalization as making a gamertag unique, so as far as the system is concerned, MemphisAi30 is already in use since you already have it as memphisai30. So
you would have to change it to something else and then change it back.
