Backup save to alternate internal storage

First off, I know about cloud storage, and it should eliminate the need for me to manually backup a save. However, I have a particular game (The Binding of Isaac with all the expansions) and twice I have experienced an issue where my save progress is mysteriously deleted. For example, I was in the middle of a run that wasn't going well, start -> exit. And back at the menu my progress was gone. I immediately Uninstalled the game thinking it would pull the save data from cloud backup, but it was still gone.

In my series x console I have the internal storage, the 2tb imternal expansion card, and an external usb3 hdd. Is it possible for me to manually backup my saves periodically, because the cloud saves have failed me. When I go into setting the only option looks to be for me to delete the saves.

Sadly that is not possible.

All saves are stored in the cloud servers and the local storage.

Well it would only go back to your last checkpoint and if you didnt hit one it wouldn't save that is with any game or console

Every game has a saving data symbol or.checkpoint system

If you are starting a game you need to hit the first checkpoint

This is what people.mistaken the quick resume to be

It pauses the game at where you are

But if you close or reboot the game rather then resume you will go back to your last checkpoint that's why you open the quick resume

You can't do it within a boss match etc if I'm turning off the the night I run back to the check point and hit it and then turn off the console.

Trust me you don't wanna stop quick resume when a huge fireball is about to hit you

If the DLC isn't being registered at all, the issue may come down to your current storage option. Are you using an external or internal storage device? If you're saving externally, try moving that content to internal storage to see if there's a change. Alternatively,
try downloading the content onto a different external device.

Yes, you can format USB external storage (up to 32GB) for use with an Xbox 360, and can store save games (as well as actual games) on there. After every session you could simply copy across a save file (this has to be manual, it will not do this automatically)
and if the one on the HDD corrupts you have your backup.

Cloud storage is an alternative, but is only available to Gold members.

Games are only to be stored on external or internal hard drives and can not be stored on USB devices. Have you tried formatting the internal hard dive? (I would recommend that you backup your game saves and other content to an external storage device such
as a USB or external hard drive before attempting to avoid any loss from game progress)
