    Hey guys

    So I'm trying to sell my 500gb xbox one and upgrade to the S. Had a couple of questions regarding the change.

    -Do I need to back up my installed games/game saves, or does it all travel with me on the cloud?

    -Do I need to back up any uninstalled games? For example, I have the whole gears of war collection on my xbox one from the codes I got with Gears 4, and many other downloaded games from games with gold. They are not installed (to save space). Do I need to
    back these up or will they appear on my new xbox ready for install?

    -How do I reset my original xbox so that the new owner gets a new xbox?

    You dont really need to back up on a 360, the data is secure on the hard drive, ive never heard of faults and loss of data

    Hi there,

    Anything you've purchased/redeemed on your account will show in the ready to install section under games and apps on your new console.

    Game saves are saved locally as well as on the cloud so you can access them from any console connected to Live.

    One thing you could do, if you didn't want to risk the cloud saves, you could purchase an external drive where you can copy over all the games/game saves. Then use it on your new Xbox One S console. It will save you time as you won't have to wait to download
    everything when you get the new console.

    You can follow the steps here to reset your console to factory details: Reset Xbox One Console to Factory Defaults

    Single player is what will sell this for me on day one if its got a good story to back it up.

    I don't mean to be rude but I don't think Microsoft are going to fret over losing one customer such as yourself.

    "but now i will be selling this garbage console for a ps4." - That sounds pretty final, but I bet you'll be back on the Xbox One once Xbox LIVE is back up and running.
