Backing up saved games

I am not sure whether this is a hardware issue or game issue. When I try to backup certain saved games (in particular Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind) the choice to 'copy' is not available, however 'delete' is. I am concerned about losing my saved games due to
system failure or unexpected problems. The Morrowind game is currently saved to the hard drive, I would like to copy it to the memory unit as well as to USB. It seems strange that a game would not allow backups; is this a configuration problem?

Halo 4 Freezing my Xbox

Something that's helped others is backing up your saved data somewhere else, deleting everything for the game on your console and then installing the game to your hard drive.

Unable to play a downloaded game.

You can try backing up your saved games on a USB thumb drive configured for Xbox 360. Then I suggest deleting the game, clearing the cache, and re-installing it from your download history.

It's just how some games are coded. Not all of them allow you to copy the saves.

Hey Kev,

All your saves are going to the Cloud. This feature is handy when you decide to go to another persons place all your progress goes with you. As far as a external HDD nothing yet is on the docket but that doesn't suggest that it wont be in the future.

true - if i never connected to internet, i presume it would be loading a locally saved file?

Thanks Urkel - so just to verify.

if i ever needed to reset to factory settings, once i re downloaded my profile and re installed the game it would load back to where i was?

it i needed my xbox replacing and it had another serial no. - once i re downloaded my profile and re installed the game it would load back to where i was still?

Does it back it up and rewrite over the last save or save a few (only ask as if the save file became corrupt would there be a way around it by reloading an earlier save?
