Background music

NO the music in the background was NOT tested at all makes you think why have a preview program if they don't test everything.

Only way to listen to music in the background in the UK is to pay for it with that rubbish grove something that should be FREE.

MS are a bunch of money grabbing scum

 

Its only Pandora now and it's not a worldwide app and moving music to one drive is actually very annoying, there should be an app were you can stream music from your phone to xbox

I live in the Arizona and not even Pandora is working. Wtf.

 

I'm in the US. I will try again.

I'm able to use Pandora in the background on the home screen but if I switch to a game, it stops.

 

Is background music available for 2nd generation Xbox preview members because i have yet to be able to use any music app on Xbox one in the background. (my Xbox one is up to date)

Pandora is still a no go for me as well and I even reactivated a 4 year old account for this...of course us finally getting background music wasn't going to be easy it has to be the most backward way possible

 

Any word on this coming to the built-in media player app?

 

Xbox's background music update is the biggest joke. Such garbage. The native media player doesn't even support background music. The simple background music player app is garbage too. There is no repeat or Shuffle track option. That completely ruins the
cutscenes and gameplay experience. I have to keep opening the app back up to repeat a track I like during a cutscene. The volume changer increments are way too drastic. If I ever need to lower or higher the volume it's either way too loud or way too low. There
aren't enough increments in the volume changer bar. I'm always having to adjust the volume myself while playing a game or specifically during a cutscene. The groove music app with the OneDrive music storage option would be decent if it actually let us play
music in the background already. We're still waiting for them to update the *** thing but it's taking them so long. This is one of the worst updates I have ever scene. PS4 has a far superior background music system implemented. Xbox you need to pick it up.

Also, the Simple Background Music Player app can't read a majority of music file names. Most of them are blank unless you manually edit the ID3 tag information for every single track.

 

I cant get background music to work. Wireless display preview app lags, media player doesn't recognize hard drives, and dlna stop working.

 

@ A JACOB 19: ps4's music player is a paid for service unlike the FREE option to play bg music on the far superior Xbox One.

 

I'm in the US, and both of my Xbox One consoles don't allow Pandora to run in the background. I was really hoping the update that did all this actually worked. I'm on a capped data plan, and got in trouble with my ISP just to get the update, and it doesn't
even work. Super bummer.
