Background music

It's great that xbox have background music on for groove music but the problem is not everyone have groove music pass, nothing wrong with groove I used to have it but there are other music streaming apps like Spotify maybe it won't be easy to get it on xbox,
if it does then that would be great

Microsoft has already announced that developers have the ability to add the background functionality to their apps, so you'd be better off contacting the music app companies. According to Spotify an app will not be coming to Xbox in the foreseeable future
as they have an exclusive deal with Sony.

 

how do i get it to work?

Because I dont see it and im in the preview.

I do know that you can move your music onto the one drive and play it on your xbox without having a groove music pass. but I as well cannot get my console to play background music even using the groove app. if anyone has some ideas or knows why, please let
me know.

I cannot do background music with Pandora. I have verified that I have the latest OS version

In the new update it stated "Background Music: Today’s update brings the ability for the highly requested feature of Background Music, which lets you listen to your favorite music in the background while gaming on Xbox One. The Pandora app, launching soon,
is the first of many partners who will support Background Music, with Groove Music, iHeartRadio and other apps coming later."

Pandora is coming soon, as stated in the update release. However, there is one current App that will work with this function called CAST, it is a free music app. You can use this now until the other music apps are updated to work with the new Background
Music feature.

That's it what was the point in doing an update if a key requested feature called background music is not fully up and running and yet some of the apps are still in preview. WTF microsoft one simple feature is taking how long why was this not being tested
before the update was released... LOOK at backwards compatibility aswell microsoft it seems weird that all the new xbox 360 games look ok but what happened to the games people vote for..
