Background music for xbox one 2019 does not work

I tried iheartRadio, spotify music, groove music, background music, and pandora.

What I done. uninstalling all those apps. then installing which didn't worked.

clicking the guide button on the xbox controller then clicking the app, which do work is spotify music, background music and pandora. However groove music does.

I tried holding the xbox one power button once it turn off I unplug the console then waited for 2 mins. Still nothing worked.

Does anyone have this issue?

Groove music was discontinued on December 21, 2017. That's why it doesn't work anymore.

The only two that will work in background is spotify or pandora. There used to be a function that could play in background but unfortunately don't work any longer. Try these two apps and see if you get the same issue.

I am able to play it. The background does work. I'm not sure why people who ambassators or agents do not even try this..

The groove I am sure does works meaning (guide button clicking the app seeing 100% controller and 100 music, pause) I believe you see this after you get to music. Also I have mention that I do see the multitask work for simple background music player.

Funny is. Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu are wrong. Iheartradio works. I just found a work around. Just let the song play for a minute while clicking the app from the guide multitasking.

Yet groove is from microsoft and yet that does not work? Right..

I have not had that problem, but if the hard reset suggested by @{Parity} doesn't work, then I'd recommend

submitting the issue to developers with the steps here. And also notify the team of the app that is also not working.

Might also be worth checking if you have updates available in Settings > System > Updates & downloads.
