    Background MP3 Player?? (Media App)


    Hi fellow Xboxers, if anyone is in the Preview program, i heard you all have the new Media App, can you please tell me if the media App can be used in the Background while listening to MP3's? please i am very curious as i did this a lot on 360, thanks

    It doesn't even work with it's own Media Player app ........come on Microsoft

    Anyone know if the Media Player app will be backgroundable? i have looked at all the info about it and never seen background mentioned

    The answer right now (oct 20th) is "not really".

    You can "Snap" the media player while you're playing a game.. and your music will play... but as soon as you un-snap it.. the music stops. - I really hope they change this.

    So if you don't mind having it snapped.. it works... but it's less than ideal. (it takes up almost a 1/4 of your screen)

    getting lots of error messages with new update to media player preview (0xc1010107, 0xc00d36c3, 0xc00d5212)

    this even happens to me with MP3s........MP3s! audio!!

    The media player doesn't seem to pick on videos, so much as the mp3s.

    the media player only tends to play one of two songs then errors out.

    We need to be able to collapse pandora while it is snapped!

    Agreed it would be awesome if they could also allow the media player app to also run in the background.

    If you already have the MP3 files, you can simply transfer them to a USB drive or play them over DLNA and play from the Media Player app (there are also a diverse range of apps available on the Xbox Store to achieve this as well). Check our
