    Background Input for Controller


    Hey, I'm not sure of what to call this, but is there a way to play Xbox when it is not the "front" window? For example, I have multiple monitors, and if I wanted to just leave it on one monitor and not have to go alt+tab to the actual Xbox app while I was
    doing something else, is there a setting for that?

    Hi Arnie,

    Do you mean the 3.5mm jack on the wireless controller or the stereo headset adapter port on the controller?

    Do you have Steam running in the background? Steam Input can remap controller inputs to mouse/keyboard inputs. I recommend closing Steam and any other 3rd party apps that may interfere with controller functionality.

    How to stop double inputs on my Xbox Series controller on PC?

    What I would do is to exit Steam completely when you are playing an Xbox app game. I had a similar issue recently. I was trying to play Among Us with my controller on my PC and it started rapidly switching between controller and keyboard+mouse input to the point where I could barely move. Steam was open in the background, so I went down to the bottom right of the taskbar and clicked the up arrow, then right clicked Steam and clicked Exit Steam. The reason this happened was because of Steam controller remapping interfering with the direct input of controls to the PC.

    From what the manual shows, when you activate the OSD it will show you the display input and the resolution or display format at the bottom of the OSD in grey text on a black background.
