Background downloads and two profiles

OK here's what I'm asking, I'm currently trying to download multiple games from two different profiles on the same Xbox. Each profile is logged in on a separate controller. The question is since I have background downloads enabled and will shortly be turning
the console off, which list of active downloads will complete?

hi try this, one try to play it on another persons profile. two try to set your xbox to finish background downloads. (settings system on and off settings and hit on for downloads, also make sure there is no auto off because it turns it's self off with out
the download done)

 

Black background issue?

I think the colours are for for the squares. I think the black background is normal.

My friends console has two profiles. Each profile has separate colours.

It's the tiles that are coloured. The background stays black.

 

I've never run into a situation like that. If they do complete overnight for you please be sure to post back letting us know for future reference.

 

Yeah I'd never come across it either however it turns out that it downloads the list of the profile who was on the dashboard as the console shutdown, I.e. profile a with 4 active downloads completed because I was on profile a's dashboard, profile b's began
downloading when I logged into that profile this morning. But yeah bit of new info for everyone there

 

so are you saying that if you buy a game on xbox.com marketplace; sign in with other on one console: x=me, y=son; downtoad it to his console (because it is the first download/first location. i bought it for him, but i did it with my account. The last notification
before finishing the purchase mentions something about the first download to a specific console... so does that make it his?

 

When you download content it is tied to the account that purchased it. So he could use it as long as he's sharing the same console as you, but you would still own the content if you purchased it on your account.
