    Backend department failed to verify purchase correctly, and thus stole about 100 dollars...


    Long story short, my account was hacked. I made a few 'sale price' purchases before figuring out it was hacked. Contacted a tech who offered to help move my account to a new account. Asked me about the games I bought after the hack, I told him I bought them. A few days later when the account was moved, the backend department, assuming the games were purchased by hackers, refunded me the money anyways.

    I've been trying to get the games back at the price I initially paid. But they won't acknowledge that I bought them, insisting instead that they've confirmed (somehow, though quite actually impossibly) that the hackers bought them. And that nothing else can be done. In order to get those games again now, while no longer on sale, would cost me over 100 dollars more than I already paid.

    Is there anything I can do?

    I've saved the conversations I had with the techs. I told the first tech I was the one that bought them, before the refund. It's impossible to think I'm trying to scam them or whatever is the reason they're denying that I bought the games, because they hadn't been refunded yet. They screwed up by refunding me the money and are basically just telling me 'too bad.' Any help would be appreciated.

    Another thing that came to my mind that you can try is:

    If you had order confirmation emails about these purchases, you can try contact Microsoft support and see if they can honor the price based on these confirmation emails

    Sincerely as they already refund the money to you, you may need to wait until the games that you want had the same price when you purchased it before the hack.

    5 Days of money pending for microsoft.

    If it is two 1 dollar transactions that's authorization charges

    Those happen when an card fails authorization or waiting approval

    If the 2 dollar purchase membership purchase hasn't occured on billing.microsoft.com then It failed therefore

    You need to have another card to make the purchase or if it is a prepaid creditcard

    You need to enable online purchases and add billing details on the vendors site

    About the authorization charges talk to your bank about when they will release the funds

    Hello, the purchase still does not show on my Order History. However Microsofts backend system can see the failed purchase and I have all the necessary information from my bank to show the transaction of the funds through my account.
