Back up saves on xbox series x

You can't do that on Xbox, as saves are automatically stored in the cloud.

Yea I know they are in the cloud I just want to know if you can back up a finished save on an external drive as this limit on the amount of games you can have in a game where saves are imported to the next game and next is nuts

is there away to back up the cloud saves so when I delete saves from the game to make room for more games I can put them back if needed and not lose anything

Resetting your Xbox One will not remove saved data from your account, only the console itself. Xbox game saves are stored in your account's cloud storage; each game has its own space in the cloud for saved data.

This means all you need to do on your Series X is boot up a game, and the game's saved data will automatically sync and load onto your console. You can connect your Seagate drive to your Series X and all it's installed games should pop up too.

On Xbox One and Xbox Series X, regardless of whether you subscribe to any services such as Game Pass, you can still use the cloud saves feature.

So, you can reinstall/re-download the game on your Series X, then when you launch it, it will say "Syncing data for Skyrim", a copy of your cloud save will be downloaded to your console, then you will carry on from where you left off.

Obviously, if you were always using your Xbox One offline, so you were never connected to Xbox Live, this won't work as the save would have never been backed up in the cloud. In that instance, if you still have your old Xbox One - which it sounds like you do, based on your posts - you'd need to connect it to Live in order for your saves to be backed up first.

The Xbox Series X is the world's most powerful console, it provides the best performance and graphics in games optimised for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One X.
