Back up copies of game saves ?

I have to say I have become quite dismayed that we have absolutely no means to make back copies of our save games anywhere on the xbox one ?

I would like to know if such a feature is intended in the future ?

As it stands a synced copy in the cloud is simply not good enough as we don't even get a choice as to where the save is stored, and before anyone starts harping on about save modding etc don't bother, this is an important feature to avid legitimate gamers
like myself for many good reasons that were commonplace well before hacking saves became an issue.

Cheaters who mod profiles and saves are easy to spot and deal with and are in the minority in comparison to the number of legitimate gamers on the platform so penalizing us for such an important feature due to a minority of people who cheat in such a way
is an unreasonable means of dealing with a save modding cheating issue.

true - if i never connected to internet, i presume it would be loading a locally saved file?

All save files are automatically saved to the console's hard drive and, if you are connected to Xbox Live, the cloud, so that you have two copies of your most recent save file at all times. Such that if you are offline you can play and save to the console
locally, and once connected again you can choose you want to continue from the local copy and it will replace the cloud backup.

However, as for manually moving the save files between storage media, like on the Xbox 360, that is a feature suggestion better suited for the Xbox Feedback site, which is read by the platform engineering team to gauge interest in, and prioritise, future
feature additions.

Every game save is transferable...... ALL content is transfered... It will be an issue...

The license is only for 1 copy of the game.

Use cloud storage as a back up for save files or copy to USB memory IMO.

Don't think a COPY is possible....you can MOVE or Transfer the pass...but not copy.

Same was the case with the Gears 3 Beta and player saves that went with it! I found that out while I was copying game saves to a usb to back up b4 I transfered to the new Gears console.

That is because the data is saved to your phone and once the game is deleted on there, that will include the files. To avoid this feom happenning again, just back up your data first from your phone's file manager. Go to the game folders and copy the data, save it to another folder so you can just copy it back to the game files after reinstalling.

Sorry to hear this. Unfortunately, unless you have a back up copy of the save there is no way to recover a corrupted one.

If you have played the game on a different console then please check that console for a copy of it
