Back to the future broken?

Hey i pre ordered back to the future and in the description it states playable from 12:01 on the 13/10/2015

I just started the game and it loads to the main menu fine, press A to start and it wont sync my data, it lets me play offline and the achievements are greyed out in the game hub. I had another look in the store and the release date shows the 14/10/2015
so hows can we play when its not suposed to be out yet or is it busted??

As I understand it the game shouldn't of been available until the 14th Oct but someone messed up & it's available a day early which is why the achievements etc. were playing up.

It should be fixed now although you may have to go back & earn any "stuck" achievements again.

Same here. Xbox.com also shows the game as having zero achievements. Sounds like the game was released without Xbox doing something on their systems.

Yeah it does seem weird. I can download it too, but can also see that the release date is set to the 14/10. I think it might just be a slip and its been released early, which is why its not yet playable. I'd give it to tomorrow, and it should fix itself

It says 12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time, not whatever time zone you are in. If you are in the UK that is 5:01 AM. If you are in Australia that is 10:01 AM of the next day. It isn't 12:01 AM EST
for another 1 and 1/2 hours.

 

It will say 12:01am for what ever timezone you are in so if you are in the U.K. it will say 12:01am bst

I thought the game was out on the 14th as well so like DENAz said,it looks like someone made a booboo.

 

I can play it its just the achievements that havent been activated / turned on

 

I'm sure there is a back to the future pun in here somewhere lol

@Olly - Yeah that tends to happen with new games, the achievements can sometimes take a little bit to start working correctly. I beleive they will unlock once it all starts working properly

 

Yea the game is broken. It can't sync latest save data and has no achievements. I've even re-downloaded it and that still hasn't fixed the problem.

 

Just an FYI for anyone concerned -- The achievements are now live, so those shouldn't be problem for people.

Have you had a chance to go back and try playing? Everything should be good to play, just tried it on my end. If you've played past the point of an achievement and it hasn't unlocked or doesn't show as 'Done and Unlocking' you may need to go back and re-earn.
