    Back in 2011 or 2012 i was randomly assigned the gamer tag SlobberyCleric but I'm not sure if there numbers after it. Is there anyway you can search for this and let me know exactly what the tag was?

    Hey, the last assignment I got was on 11/02/2016. I'm pretty sure I changed my gamer tag around the time from BCMYAZ to , could that effect it some how.

    thanks onyx, I am just going to accept defeat and change the username that was randomly assigned to me. It sucks since I am known on other forums as my old xbox live gamer tag but no biggie. Again thank you for the responses and your time.

    Why was I assigned a gamertag without my knowledge or consent?

    All Microsoft accounts are automatically assigned a randomly generated tag. So since you didn't complete the process of changing that, it kept the random tag.

    Randomly generated tags do not look like that. I'm not sure how you would have gotten it, but that is not a randomly generated tag, so you would have to pay in order to change it.
