    Back compat a joke?

MS has to get permission from the companies that developed the 360 games in order to add them to the list. MS also has to test every game to make sure they work. I'm sure most people understand that this all takes time.

I understand that, but why ask perms from devs for games that no ones heard of? Kindom of keflings? world of keflins? Banjo kazooie?? LOL

    It's in preview/beta.....

It's like complaining about lack of content/game mode in a game based on a beta....

If you want to see some more titles, better to vote on the feedback section.

    Back compat a joke?

you say games that nobody has heard off, banjo kazooie and keflings are extremely popular, banjo especially, is it because it does not have COD drone in the title.

    Backwards Compatibility isn't a joke.

    It's a mystery.

Anyone who kept their 360 knows that the graphics look terrible after even only a little play on the XBox ONE.

So unless you couldn't really afford the XBox ONE (i.e. you can't afford to buy the current gen games for it)... why would you care about backwards compatibility?

People don't want "Backwards Compatibility". They just think they do.

  12. Azrael here still doesn't get it. Nobody cares about the graphics, they just want to play their favorite 360 titles without having to switch consoles. Why did anyone play original Xbox games on the Xbox 360? Certainly not for the graphics. It was because
they wanted to play original Xbox titles without having to switch between the Xbox and the Xbox 360. The same is true for these backwards compatible 360 titles.

    Back compat a joke?

I love "Diablo III". That was pretty much the only game that would get me back on the 360.

But as much as I loved it I had to admit that it was becoming a bit of an eyesore.

"Morrowind: GOTY" edition is arguably the greatest video game ever made.

But if you tried to play it now you'd find it hard going because we're used to so many of the innovations and improvements that the original game simply doesn't have.

We'll always look back to those older games we played and loved in generations past.

But they just don't stand up to the current gen. If they hadn't come out as they were at the date and time they came out... they wouldn't have had the impact that they did.

And that's why, despite whatever nostalgia you hold for certain games, they don't stand up now.

Sure there might be 2 or 3 360 titles you could play forever.

Why get excited about the hundreds that are gonna keep you interested for 5 minutes before you shut them off because they're crap?

Az the fact that you "graze" games and rarely actually finish a title probably reflects your lack of enthusiasm for BC, I have a library of completed 360 titles that at some point in my life I will revisit, Gears, Mass Effect, Bioshock. Witcher, Dead Space
etc etc and I would like to be able to replay them on a single console. Just because your not interested you don't think for those of us who think it's an excellent feature to add to the One. Stop telling us we "only think we want it" And for the record
it's not all about the graphics.

  15. Part of me hates to say it... lol

Az makes a fair point IMO. Mass Effect is a perfect example. I loved the entire series (ridiculous ending set aside temporarily). But... the first Mass Effect was looking pretty dated, in the graphics department, by the end of the series and that was on
    the same console.

I own the digital version, so when BC does become available for non preview members, it will be there waiting for me to DL and play. But here's the thing. I might... might... DL it. Chances of me actually playing it? Well... IF there comes a time when there
is a lull in new games and I don't have a back log... I might, but only if I knew I would have the time for it.

However... if they did a digital re-master of the game, I'd actually make the time. I played the living stuff out of the game when it came out. I loved every minute of it, but I moved on after awhile. Sure, a trip down memory lane would be nice... if I had
the time and really had an urge to play it again. But a nice graphic / sound update would be pretty quick to change "if I had" to "I will make".
